The otome visual novel Temirana: The Lucky Princess and the Tragic Knights was initially scheduled to release physically and digitally in Europe on Nintendo Switch in 2025. The release has now been postponed to 2026. The release date and preorder start date will be announced at a later date. It will have a Limited Edition and Day One Edition. The contents of these editions, as well as the preorder start date, will be revealed at a later time.

Detective Instinct: Farewell, My Beloved, which was previously announced for a 2025 Steam release, has now also announced a Nintendo Switch release targeting 2025. A demo of this upcoming visual novel from the American indie developer Armonica is available for the PC version via the Steam store page.

Gaming News:
One of Nintendo’s first big games of 2025 got a new content update in the form of a trailer! Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition got a trailer that goes over the game’s setting and story, as this is quite different compared to your average Xenoblade Chronicles game. Players who purchase the digital version of the game before April 6th will get a support pack that includes helpful in-game items.

SEGA and Ryu Ga Gotoku recently held a Like a Dragon Direct presentation that went into further detail on the latest entry in the franchise: Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii! The direct was around 13 minutes long and detailed the game’s hand-to-hand and ship combat, locations to explore, and even pre-order bonuses if you purchase the game ahead of release.

The latest Assassin’s Creed game seems to be making it a habit to push back its release date. Assassin’s Creed Shadows was originally slated for November 2024, but Ubisoft then delayed the game to February 14th 2025. Ubisoft has once again delayed the game, and it will now be released on March 20th 2025. It was stated that this extra time is to allow the development team to implement the feedback from players ahead of its launch.

Dead by Daylight recently released a huge collaboration with one of the most iconic horror mangaka of all time! A new cosmetic collaboration with Junji Ito is now available to purchase in-game that takes influence from his many famous works. This includes characters from stories such as Tomie, The Hanging Balloons, Marionette Mansion, Fashion Model, and more.

Anime News:
During Sony’s presentation at CES 2025, we got the announcement that a famous game from Sucker Punch is getting an animated series! Based on Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is being directed by Takanobu Mizuno and animation production is being handled by Kamikaze Douga. No other details beyond the announcement are known at this time.
Ghost of Tsushima: Legends is set to premiere in 2027.

Nintendo’s first release of 2025 is a remaster of a beloved platformer staring gaming’s most famous primate! Donkey Kong Country Returns HD sees you playing as Donkey Kong and Diddy Kong getting back DK’s banana patch from an evil group known as the Tik Tak Tribe who’ve hypnotized the island’s animals. This new release includes a Modern Mode which decreases the challenge of the original game for newer players, but an Original Mode is also present for fans of the original game or those who want a bigger challenge.

Fans of Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors series have waited seven years for this, but the next installment in the franchise is finally ready for release this week! Dynasty Warriors: Origin sees you take on the role of a nameless protagonist who’s thrust into the conflicts from Romance of the Three Kingdoms. With this being the latest entry on modern hardware, you’ll take on the largest amount of enemies in the franchise to date as you turn the tide of battle with the series’ tried-and-tested combat system.

An entry in Bandai Namco’s Tales series is finally going to be available on more platforms! Tales of Graces f Remastered is, as the name implies, a remastered version of the PlayStation 3 release with better graphics and performance, quality-of-life additions, and many pieces of DLC from the original game being packaged in this new release.
