Sekai Project have surprise launched The Seventh Sign -Mr Sister-. This title will not be coming to Steam, but can be found on other platforms. It follows a boy who is saved by a cat-eared girl calling herself a god. With her power trapped inside him and both of them dying, they team up to try and avoid it.
Evenicle 2 has been announced as launching on a variety of platforms, including JAST and Mangagamer on February 22nd. It was previously announced as no longer coming to Steam, but the demo is still available.
The premise is that you are a doctor who can cure disease with a special power that can only be administered via sex. It contains diseases such as “boob gigantification syndrome”, which illustrate the tone of this visual novel / RPG.
Hello Lady! – Complete Edition has recently launched on Steam, Denpasoft and other platforms.
Originally the 18+ versions of the game were intended to launch demosaiced and fully uncensored. Near launch, the rightsholder changed and NekoNyan are no longer allowed to launch without mosaics in place. As such, it has released with mosaiced 18+ content.
GNOSIA previously launched on the Nintendo Switch during March 2021. It has just launched on Steam.
While describing itself as a ‘Sci-Fi Social Deduction RPG’ and containing some RPG-elements, it’s is generally referred to as a visual novel. It follows the crew of a drifting spaceship with an enemy hiding among them. You have to deduct who the enemy is and then vote to put them into a cold sleep.
We previously reported on the release of Nope Nope Nurses on Johren and the upcoming release on Steam. Due to unspecified reasons, this title has been removed from Johren and the Steam release has been indefinitely delayed.
Easily taking the gaming community by storm this week was a company purchase nobody saw coming! Microsoft has acquired Activision Blizzard for $68.7 billion! This deal includes some of the most notable franchises in the industry such as Call of Duty, Warcraft, Crash Bandicoot, Overwatch, Spyro the Dragon, and much more. The deal is set to close around Microsoft’s fiscal year, which is set to happen on June 30th, 2023.
Easily the most unexpected crossover in video games is celebrating a huge milestone in a few months! Kingdom Hearts will turn 20 years old on March 28th, with Square-Enix announcing a 20th Anniversary celebration for the series that will be taking place on April 10th. The announcement coincided with the Cloud ports on Nintendo Switch being available for pre-order, which also allows you to download a demo to test if your internet can handle these streamed versions.
The cloud versions of the Kingdom Hearts games will release exclusively on Nintendo Switch on February 10th.
Not only is the long-awaited DLC expansion for Cuphead releasing this year, but the equally long production of the Cuphead animated series will premiere this year too! Announced as a Netflix exclusive series, The Cuphead Show got its first full trailer and that same classic cartoon charm from the original game is present and accounted for.
The Cuphead Show premieres exclusively on Netflix on February 18th.
Bandai Namco has been going a bit experimental with their licensed titles as of late, and the cast of My Hero Academia can now join that list! My Hero Academia: Ultra Rumble was announced recently, and it’s a 24 player free-to-play battle royale coming to consoles and PC. Rather than using guns or blunt objects to inflict damage, each iconic character from the series uses their unique quirks to complete objectives in teams of three. While a closed beta has been announced for Japan, no western equivalent has been announced at this time.
Speaking of Shonen Jump properties, Bandai Namco has announced their second Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour will be taking place across February 18th and February 19th! The event promises to showcase many competitive matches across a multitude of Dragon Ball titles, along with announcing more information on all things Dragon Ball.
After a slight delay, a new release date for Platinum Games’ shoot-’em-up, Sol Cresta was announced: February 22nd. Announced during their release date forum video, the game will be coming to PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
A brand new action game from Playism and Crimson Dusk was just announced: Homura Hime! Taking influence from NieR‘s bullet hell boss design, this 3D character action game sees you exorcising several demon girls in a fast-paced combat environment with visuals heavily inspired by anime.

Date A Live‘s fourth season has received a brand new release window of April 2022! To coincide with this announcement, a new trailer for the series was also released.
The anime adaptation of the beloved Shenmue series has finally received a release date! The series will consist of thirteen episodes and will premiere on both Crunchyroll and Adult Swim.
Shenmue the Animation premieres on February 5th.
A film adaptation of the successful sci-fi novel, The Tunnel to Summer, the Exit of Goodbyes by Mei Hachimoku is currently in the works! The announcement also brought with it a teaser image and confirmation that Tomohisa Taguchi will be directing the film, with CLAPS in charge of animation production.

The light novel series God is Hungry for Games by Kei Sazane is getting an anime adaptation! This isn’t the first work of Kei Sazne to get an adaptation either, with their previous series, Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World getting an anime series in the Fall 2020 season. No other information about the adaptation was announced at this time.
While fans eagerly await the third entry in the Azure Striker Gunvolt series, Inti Creates is releasing a sequel to their spin-off to the franchise: Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2! Taking on the role of Copen and dash, shoot, and slash through this fast-paced 2D platformer with a gorgeous sprite-based art style.
Gunvolt Chronicles: Luminous Avenger iX 2 arrives for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on January 27th.
