Gaming News:

No, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you. The Naruto franchise is making an appearance in the popular battle royale title, Fortnite! Details are quite sparse about the collaboration, but we do know that Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi will be joining the game.

The Naruto collaboration in Fortnite will be available on November 16th.

Genshin Impact is receiving its 2.3 update later this month. The biggest addition to this update are the two new characters: Arataki Itto and Gorou. Other than that, if you missed your chance to get Albedo and/or Eula, they’re returning for players to try and acquire. Some other events will also be added in the update, such as activities on the snow-covered mountains of Dragonspine, new weapons and artifacts to boost your characters, and even a new boss called the Golden Wolflord.

Genshin Impact’s 2.3 update will go live on November 24th.

While not exactly a critical darling when it launched in 2019, Jump Force managed to get a decent amount of post-launch support with two season passes, adding brand new characters from some of the many Shonen Jump properties represented in the game. However, if you want to try the game out for yourself, it won’t be available for too much longer. Bandai Namco announced that Jump Force will be removed from digital storefronts on February 7th, 2022, with many of the online features being removed on August 24th, 2022.

Anime News:

The Netflix Festival Japan 2021 event was recently hosted, and it came with a lot of exciting anime-related announcements! Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean received a brand new trailer and revealed that the first twelve episodes of the series will be available worldwide on Netflix and will be released on December 1st.

The live-action adaptation of Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece revealed who will be playing the series’ main characters: the Straw Hat Pirates! This was revealed in a short teaser with each actor announcing their roles. We also got a message from Oda giving an update on the progress of the project.

While we’re still talking about live-action adaptations, the famous mecha series, Mobile Suit Gundam, is getting the same treatment too! We received our first piece of concept art for the Netflix film, and it’s been confirmed that Jordan Vogt-Roberts, best known for directing Kong: Skull Island is helming the project as the director.

The long-awaited second season of Tiger and Bunny finally has a release window! It will be arriving on Netflix in April 2022, and we got a brand new key visual for the new season.

Aggretsuko is returning for a fourth season, but this season will have a larger focus on another one of the main characters, Haida. The first trailer for the new season was released and will be available to stream via Netflix on December 16th.

For those unaware, Kakegurui – Compulsive Gambler had a prequel manga, and thanks to studio MAPPA, it will be getting an anime adaptation. Kakegurui Twin is coming to Netflix, and alongside getting the key visual for the series, it will be arriving in August 2022.

It was announced a while ago, but the Bleach anime adaptation will be continuing and will adapt the final arc from the original manga: The Thousand-Year Blood War arc! To celebrate the series’ 20th anniversary, we’ll be getting news regarding the anime at this year’s Jump Festa event, which will be held on December 18th-19th.

Japanese voice actress, Yoshiko Ota recently passed away at the age of 89 due to heart failure. She was most well known for her roles as Leo from Jungle Emperor Leo (the original Japanese version of Kimba the White Lion), Atsuko Kagami from Himitsu no Akko-chan, and Baby Panda in Panda! Go, Panda! Rest in peace, Yoshiko Ota.

Upcoming Releases:

The remakes of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl are finally releasing this week. Originally the first Pokémon generation released on the Nintendo DS back in 2007, these new versions include visual enhancements and new updates unique to this new version.

Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch on November 19th.
