Sekai Project have announced that barring any unexpected issues, Rewrite+ will be launching on Steam on December 17th. They are currently doing a final QA check for any bugs

News about Harvest Festa and phyiscal rewards from the Kickstarter is expected after the release of Rewrite+ and the winter holiday.

JASTUSA brought Venusblood Frontier International to us about a year ago. We reviewed the tentacle-heavy title here at NookGaming. A Kickstarter has been started to localize the three fandiscs.

The Kickstarter has already raised in excess of twice as much as the goal and is still open for anyone wishing to support it.

The .hack JRPG series is closely approaching its 20th anniversary, but it’s possible that you’ve never played this JRPG that mixes action and MMO mechanics. If that is the case, you’ll be happy to hear that the enhanced version of .hack//G.U. is coming to the Nintendo Switch on March 10th, 2022. .hack//G.U. Last Recode was originally released back in 2017 and packages the three main games from the G.U. story, along with a follow-up exclusive to this collection.

We’ve got our first look at gameplay in motion for a game based on the popular manga and anime series, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid! Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Sakuretsu!! Chorogon Breath lets you control three characters from the series in this frantic 2D vertical shoot ’em up.

Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid Sakuretsu!! Chorogon Breath releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on March 24th, 2022.

After the phenomenal success of Netflix’s Castlevania anime series, it was only a matter of time until another video game property got the adaptation treatment. Capcom’s blue bomber, Mega Man, is receiving a live-action film from Supermarché. Not much is known about the adaptation as of now, but directing duties have been given to Henry Joost and Ariel “Rel” Schulman, with writing credits going to Mattson Tomlin, with Masi Oka producing.

Anime News:

Golden Kamuy is getting a fourth season, with the announcement coming to us in the form of a teaser trailer and a key visual. More importantly, the studio behind this fourth season is not being handled by Geno Studio. Rather, Brain’s Base, best known for classic shows like Baccano! and Durarara!!, are in charge for this season.

It’s been almost a year since the second season of The Irregular at Magic High School, but we’ve finally got word on a continuation! Serving as a New Year’s special, The Irregular at Magic High School Reminiscence Arc will adapt the eighth light novel from the series in anime form. We also got a new trailer for the special, as well as a key visual.

The Irregular at Magic High School Reminiscence Arc will air on December 31st in Japan.

Upcoming Releases:

After a short delay, the fourth expansion for the incredibly popular MMORPG, Final Fantasy XIV Online is finally ready for release! Final Fantasy XIV Online: Endwalker adds new locations to explore, two new character classes to play as, the Sage and Reaper classes, and the player’s level cap has been increased to 90.

The Final Fantasy XIV Online: Endwalker expansion releases for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC on December 7th.

After a well-received open beta for the game’s multiplayer mode, Halo Infinite‘s single-player campaign is releasing later this week! This is the long-awaited follow-up to Halo 5 Guardians, which was originally released all the way back in 2015. It will also add new mechanics like a grapple launcher and thrusters. On top of this, the game’s multiplayer mode will be available to play for free.

Halo Infinite launches for Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC on December 8th.

The beloved PlayStation classic, Monster Rancher is making a comeback this week! Monster Rancher 1 & 2 DX gives you hundreds of creatures to train and battle with and includes a bunch of new features like a high-speed mode to raise monsters faster, more freeze slots, and an arranged soundtrack for Monster Rancher 2.
