Developer Sprite (known for Aokana and Love, Elections, & Chocolate) has announced that Everlasting Flowers will be released on 27th June, 2024. Everlasting Flowers will be released on Steam, Nintendo Switch, and PlayStation 4, supporting English, Japanese, and Chinese. Frontwing will be handling the English localization, unlike the other Sprite titles.

A moving, tearful story presented by SPRITE, the creators of “Love, Elections, & Chocolate” and “Aokana – Four Rhythms Across the Blue.” It’s easy to look away from the wounds in your heart, but surely there’s a better way? “everlasting flowers”® is the first installment in a series of “cinematic novels” that tells the story of two girls, Mina and Ran, and their struggles and growth as they search for their own approach to life.

Read Only Memories: NEURODIVER, the sequel to 2064: Read Only Memories has announced it’s upcoming release on 16th May, 2024 via Steam, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. A demo is available via the Steam store. The original game 2064: Read Only Memories has lowered it’s price to $9.99.

Take on the role of ES88, a young esper employed by MINERVA, a powerful organization specializing in information science, neurotechnology, and extrasensory phenomena. The fourth and final DLC character for the first season of Street Fighter 6 was recently teased! It’s been revealed for quite a while, but we finally have our first look at Akuma in motion in a short teaser trailer.

Anime News:

Recently, the 96th Academy Awards, also known as The Oscars took place. During the event, two Japanese films managed to beat the odds and win awards in their respective categories. The first is a big one; quite literally. Godzilla Minus One won the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, making it the first film in the franchise to achieve this! The timing couldn’t be better, as 2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the Godzilla franchise.

The second Oscar win was one many of you were probably anticipating. Hayao Miyazaki’s latest film from Studio Ghibli, The Boy and The Heron won the Best Animated Feature award at the event! To celebrate, GKIDS are bringing the film back to US theaters and are also including bonus content not in the original theatrical release.

The Boy and The Heron returns to US theaters on March 22nd.

Fairy Tail is returning with a brand new anime adaptation! The sequel manga titled Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest is an official continuation of the series, as it’s written by series creator, Hiro Mashima, with Atsuo Ueda illustrating it. The anime adaptation was announced back in 2021, but we finally have an update on the project, including a trailer and a release window.
