Nook News – 4/18/22 – Travis Touches Down on More Consoles

Visual Novel News:

JAST USA have released the complete remaster of classic eroge visual novel The Sagara Family. This follows other remasters of classics, including X-Change (which we reviewed here) and Do You Like Horny Bunnies?

Due to circumstances, Yusuke is place in a situation where he is living with four lovely daughters and their sexy mother all living together under one roof. This title has digitally remastered art, HD music with a classic music option, an updated user interface and an improved translation.

Much like X-Change, if you own the original game digitally, the you can get the remaster for free. It will be listed as a separate entry in your JAST USA game library.

ThePenSword has launched Siren’s Call, an Original English Language Visual Novel (OELVN) for free, with the option to support via buying a fan pack.

Interestingly instead of focusing on meeting new people like most visual novels, it instead looks at the last. You enter Siren’s Call as the protagonist is packing up his bags and leaving.

Shiravune has released the remake of Doukyuusei under the title Dōkyūsei: Bangin’ Summer. The original version of this adult dating sim launched in 1992 and was one of the earliest dating sims to establish the genre.

It features updated graphics, an easy mode, and modern features such as a CG and scene gallery. You can find our review here.

Gaming News:

The latest Warriors spin-off from Koei Tecmo is their fourth collaboration with Nintendo: Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes! While it was announced in a Nintendo Direct earlier this year, we got a brand new trailer for the game that showcases more characters in battle and even some brand new story segments.

We’ve still got to wait until 2023 for Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, the successor to the PlayStation strategy RPG classic, SuikodenHowever, we’ll be able to get a first look at this brand new world with Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, an action-RPG prequel to Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes. In a recent announcement, the game now has a release date of May 10th and will be released for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. If you’re a subscriber to Microsoft’s Game Pass, you’ll also gain access to the game on day one!

Despite their most recent entry, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Vanillaware aren’t strangers to the strategy genre. Back in 2007, they developed a real-time strategy RPG called GrimGrimoire for the PlayStation 2; the game is now set to get a remaster 15 years later! GrimGrimoire OnceMore is set to release in Japan on July 28th for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

Fans of SUDA 51’s No More Heroes series more than likely played the latest chapter in Travis Touchdown’s crazy adventure. If you missed your chance to play No More Heroes 3, XSEED is releasing multiple ports of the game for more platforms! You’ll be able to play the game on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, and PC this Fall, with extra additions such as higher resolutions and faster loading times.

Anime News:

It feels like it’s been a while since Demon Slayer‘s second season ended, but we’ve already got a teaser for the future of the anime adaptation! We recently received a trailer for the Swordsmith Village arc, though we currently don’t have a release window as of now.

The latest film in the phenomenally popular One Piece franchise is fast approaching! We got our first look at the film in motion in a recent teaser for the new movie! It introduces a new character named Uta, and while her role in the story is unknown at this time, she seems to have a connection with Shanks, a very important character in the One Piece story.

One Piece Film RED premieres in Japan on August 6th.

Speaking of Toei Animation film releases, a hyped-up release from the studio has now got a brand new release date! Previously shifted from its April 22nd release date, Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero now has a new Japanese release date of June 11th. No western release date has been announced at this time.
