Visual Novel News:

Step into the shoes of a strong, smart and gifted journalist in this romantic adventure. You play the part of a young woman with the ability to leap in the past for a very short period in the bodies of others, which you use for data collection and helping people. After witnessing the murder of a crooked lawyer – she goes back in time in an attempt to save him.

Otome fans (including our own Kuro Kairin) rejoice as publisher PQube has announced the release date of BUSTAFELLOWS. This noir otome visual novel will be released on Nintendo Switch and Steam on the 30th of July 2021.

In more release date news, Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche has been delayed slightly. Previously set to release at the end of May, NekoNyan has now announced that it will be releasing on June 11th, 2021.

Can’t wait to play? Remember that there’s a rather lengthy demo available. It covers the common route of the game and gives you plenty of time to get to know the girls.

Speaking of free demos, Netghost, a Crime Drama Visual Novel has been announced and is currently on Kickstarter. The story follows a cybersecurity engineer who turns into a criminal for the sake of his company and his bedridden sister. The demo can be found here.

Gaming News:

Fans of one of gaming’s greatest comeback stories, Final Fantasy XIV Online finally have a release date and more information for its fourth expansion: Endwalker. It will introduce two new classes, the healing Sage class, and the damage-focused Reaper class. The new expansion will also allow players to make a male version of the bunny-themed Viera race. A new trailer was also released, which is a lengthy 6 minute CG movie to build up hype and anticipation.

Final Fantasy XIV Online: Endwalker releases for PC, Playstation 4, and Playstation 5 on November 23rd, with it releasing on the 19th for those of you who pre-order the expansion.

Anime News:

Komi Can’t Communicate from mangaka Tomohito Oda has been an incredibly popular and successful manga series, with it celebrating its 5th anniversary this Tuesday. It tells the charming story of a girl named Shouko Komi; she wants to make 100 friends, but she has serious issues with social anxiety and communication skills. Fans of the manga have been waiting years for the series to be adapted to animation, but at long last, that dream has become a reality!

Komi Can’t Communicate is getting an anime adaptation, which was announced with a key visual and a short trailer. Fans of Kaguya-sama: Love is War will be interested to know that Aio Kogo, who played the titular Kaguya in that series will be taking on the role of Shouko Komi.

Isekais are a dime-a-dozen in the modern anime landscape. It can be extremely difficult for one to stand out, and That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is one of those series. The incredibly popular series is currently on its second season and while it may be on break, it has been confirmed that the series will be returning on July 6th.

Bandai Namco’s latest attempt at a brand new franchise, Scarlet Nexus is just over a month away. While we previously reported this, we’ve been given more information regarding the anime adaptation. A new trailer with footage from the series was released, along with a new key visual.

The Scarlet Nexus anime series premieres on July 1st.

Netflix’s anime output has been going from strength to strength, and we can add another title to that list! Eden is a four-episode anime series directed by Yasuhiro Irie, who is most known for directing Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood. It is also receiving an English dub with some very notable talent, such as David Tennant and Neil Patrick Harris.

Eden premieres exclusively on Netflix on May 27th.
