Shiravune have delayed the release of Succubus Sessions: Mami Mamiya’s Sweet Slice of Hell to August or September 2023, due to unspecified reasons.

During the San Diego Comic-Con that took place last weekend, we got more details on the highly anticipated PlayStation 5 exclusive, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2! They released a trailer that was more story focused, showed off a lot of cutscenes we’ll see in the final release, and capped off with the reveal of Venom. To add on top of this, it was announced that a limited edition PlayStation 5 bundle themed around Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be released, but will also be available as plates for your console and even a custom DualSense controller separately.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 launches exclusively for PlayStation 5 on October 20th.

One Piece celebrated its 26th anniversary recently, and to celebrate, a whole event called One Piece Day took place and revealed a ton of exciting announcements! The first one we’ll be looking at is new DLC for a three-year-old game: One Piece Pirate Warriors 4. The trailer confirmed that Luffy from the Wano Arc, who has the ability to transform into his new Gear 5th form, will be the first new DLC character. What’s more, a whole new Season Pass was confirmed and will be released in sets of three characters, with two of the other sets teasing other popular characters from the series. Can you figure out who they are?

A brand new game based on the hit anime, One Punch Man was revealed! Titled One Punch Man: World, this is an action game that retells the events from the first season. It will include ability and timing-based combat and also allows you to explore Z-City to participate in other activities that don’t rely on you punching everything in your path. If this game sounds interesting to you, pre-registration is now open, so sign up for your chance to play it as soon as possible.
One Punch Man: World will release for iOS, Android, and PC. No release window has been announced at this time.

Anime News:
While it seems like this project always ends up getting delayed, it’s not hard to see why with this new update. The anime adaptation of Uzumaki finally got an update with brand-new footage! It was also confirmed by an executive named Jason DeMarco that the adaptation will release later this year.

A brand new trailer for the One Piece live-action adaptation was revealed during One Piece Day! This longer trailer revealed quite a lot, including characters, locations, and even some special effects too. Series creator, Eiichiro Oda even made a statement about the adaptation’s production.
The One Piece live-action adaptation will premiere exclusively via Netflix on August 31st.

Rounding out the One Piece announcements, we got a sneak peek of the anime adaptation’s reveal of Monkey D. Luffy’s brand new form: Gear 5th! It’s only a 30-second-long trailer, but it’s an exciting tease for what’s sure to be one of the series’ most iconic moments finally being brought to life through animation.
Luffy’s Gear 5th form will debut in episode 1071 on August 6th.

Even with the end of the NieR:Automata anime adaptation, just like the original game, it isn’t truly the end of the story. A second cour for the NieR:Automata Ver1.1a anime series was confirmed at the conclusion of the first one, and this was announced in the form of a brand-new teaser.

The third sequel to the cult classic anime, FLCL, got its first trailer! As a change of pace, this new series will be animated in stylistic 3D animation produced by Mont Blanc, with Production I.G also onboard as well.
FLCL Grunge premieres on September 9th.

While One Piece got a ton of announcements this week, one that nobody saw coming was a project based on one of Eiichiro Oda’s earlier works: a one-shot manga called Monsters! It was announced that an anime adaptation of the one-shot is now in the works from Sunghoo Park, the director of the hit anime movie, Jujutsu Kaisen 0. The project will be animated at his new animation studio, E&H Production.
No release window was announced for the anime adaptation of Monsters.

While it was previously a PlayStation 5 exclusive, another one of Insomniac’s franchises is making the dimensional jump to the PC this week! Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart is the latest installment in the franchise, telling a story that spans multiple dimensions and introduces the character of Rivet.
Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart launches for PC on July 26th.
With a ton of other classic beat-’em-up franchises making a comeback lately, now’s the perfect time for Billy and Jimmy Lee’s return! Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons is a new entry in the franchise that boasts a tag-team combat system, 13 playable characters, and even some rogue-lite elements too.
Double Dragon Gaiden: Rise of the Dragons releases for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 27th.
