Shiravune has launched Honey, Honey, Honey – a visual novel set in a world where men and women are kept at arm’s length by the law. Featuring three heroines and claiming 10+ hours of story, this visual novel can currently be found on Johren.
MangaGamer has launched IdolDays from qureate. It follows a young man working as a producer in Akihabara. Ordered to find new idols, he ends up working with the delinquent daughter of their sponsor.
MangaGamer has announced that Uchikano – Living With My Girlfriend will be released on August 26th. It’s a story of a company worker in his first year of employment and his childhood friend who suddenly enters his life after a long time.

Gaming News:
On August 6th, the influential Metroid series celebrated its 35th anniversary. Nintendo acknowledged the date with some trips down memory lane, showcasing original art and the fun fact that the name Metroid is a combination of the words “Metro” and “Android.” While it’s not ready for the anniversary, Metroid is releasing the highly anticipated fifth mainline entry in the original series, Metroid Dread. A new promotional video was released for the game to mark the occasion.
Metroid Dread releases exclusively on Nintendo Switch on October 8th.

Grasshopper Manufacture’s most famous franchise, No More Heroes, is receiving its third entry later this month. Promotion for the game is now in full swing, with a new trailer being released showcasing some of the over-the-top antagonists you’ll need to defeat.
No More Heroes 3 is coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch on August 27th.

Street Fighter V is getting a bunch of new characters as a part of its fifth Season Pass. They include the wacky martial arts master, Oro from Street Fighter 3, Akira from Rival Schools, making her the first character from the franchise to join the Street Fighter series, and a brand new character called Luke to close out the season. Capcom also has decided to put Street Fighter V Championship Edition on sale on the PlayStation 4 and Steam, so if you haven’t played it before, now is your chance!
Oro and Akira release on August 16th, with Luke releasing this November.

It may have started as an April Fool’s joke, but Platinum Games’ shoot-’em-up is actually being made! Sol Cresta is a classic shoot-’em-up through and through, with the main mechanic being able to fuse with ally ships, with different combinations yielding different results. The game is being helmed by Hideki Kamaya with assistance from Hamster Corporation, and a soundtrack composed by Yuzo Koshiro, who is well known for working on the music for SEGA’s Streets of Rage series.
Sol Cresta launches for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam in 2021.

Anime News:
As promised earlier this year, the Warner Bros. Japan Anime YouTube channel gave the goods to Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure fans with the first full trailer for the sixth part of the series, Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure Part 6: Stone Ocean! It’s the year 2011 and Jolyne Cujoh has been arrested for a crime she didn’t commit and is sentenced to 15 years at the Green Dolphin Street Prison. David Production is back producing the series, with Kenichi Suzuki returning as director and Yugo Kanno composing the music for this next part. In a surprise move, the series will debut exclusively on Netflix, with it airing on Japanese televisions in January 2022.

But it wasn’t just Jojo fans who got new updates from Warner Bros. Japan Anime! Based on the popular mobile title, the Girls’ Frontline anime series got a bunch of new updates, including character designs, a new key visual, and a brand new trailer.

Last year’s surprise hit Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! is receiving a second season! Adapted from Take’s original manga, the second season was initially announced at the end of the first season, but we now have a better look at it with a newly released key visual.

Announced earlier this year, the anime adaptation of Hiroshi Noda and Takahiro Wakamatsu’s original manga, Love After World Domination received its first trailer. The series tells the odd romance story of the leader of a hero team falling in love with a woman who’s a part of a group aiming for world domination. If it weren’t apparent already, the series satirizes the long-running Super Sentai series. Project no. 9 is animating the series with Dream Shift overseeing the series.

From the director of Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Kenji Kamiyama is working on a feature-length anime project! Initially teased last November, we finally have more information about it. It’s called Eien no 831 and while we don’t know what it will be about, we received a key visual and a release window.
Eien no 831 is set to premiere in January 2022.
Level-5, the famed video game developer behind Dark Cloud, Ni no Kuni, and the Professor Layton series is taking part in a cross-promotion for a brand new series called Megaton Musashi. This new IP will be receiving a video game for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch this November in Japan, but it will also be getting an anime series set in the same universe.
Megaton Musashi‘s anime series will premiere on October 1st.

One of 2020’s most celebrated game releases is getting more ports this week. The critically acclaimed Hades is an action rogue-lite based on the legends of ancient Greece and sees players take on the role of Hades’ son, Zagreus, as he tries to escape the Underworld and make it to the surface.
Hades is arriving for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox One on August 13th.
