This week’s Nook News is a little different. Our normal newswriter is taking the weekend off. As such, instead of covering visual novels, games, and anime, this week we’re just doing a limited visual novel news post. Please continue to tune in next week for our normal range of news updates.
To start off, we can’t not mention Key’s recent announcements. Known for titles such as Kanon, CLANNAD, and Little Busters, they’re an influential studio.
While only announced as coming out in Japanese, LUNARiA -Virtualized Moonchild is coming out in December and Tsui no Stella is coming in Spring 2021.
Moving over to English visual novels, Dear Mom: My Letter to you will soon be launching its KickStarter.
This title follows Ayame who disappears after her mother’s suicide. It’s a journey of acceptance and bonds made as Ayame restarts her life. Featuring a stat-building mechanic, it may appeal to visual novel players who also enjoy dating simulation games.
If this sounds interesting, check it out from September 14th 2021. A demo is also available on Steam.
A Year of Springs is launching a demo soon, with the release soon to follow.
This is a remasted trilogy of visual novels – three stories, following Haru, Erika, and Manami. A young trans woman, an ex-delinquent, and a sheltered university student. It features multiple endings, including an epilogue new to the trilogy collection.
The demo launches on September 15th, while the full game launches on September 29th.
