A Sex-obsessed Brother in the Country, and his Traditional, Sickly Sister (also known by the much shorter title: Country Siblings) is a visual novel with some raising simulation elements. It includes four endings to unlock. This guide will tell you how to unlock these endings and provide some hints and tips on the simulation elements.
Goals to Clear
Before the ending, you will need to clear a variety of goals set by Doctor Ane. They are as follows:
Tier 0 – Max HP of 31 or higher (7 Days Until Exam to achieve)
Tier 1 – Max HP of 60 or higher and complete event Fixing the House’s Generator (10 Days Until Exam to achieve)
Tier 2 – Max HP of 100 or higher (10 Days Until Exam to achieve)
Tier 3 – Max HP of 180 or higher and complete event Setting Up the Internet (14 Days Until Exam to achieve)
Tier 4 – Max HP of 300 or higher (14 Days Until Exam to achieve)
Requirements to Unlock the Endings
Bad End – Reduce Asumi’s HP to 0 or fail to meet Doctor Ane’s goal by the end
Normal End – Clear the game with a Happiness of 299 or less
Good End – Clear the game with a Happiness of 300, but less than 400 Max HP
True End – Clear the game with a Happiness of 300 and 400 Max HP or more
Hints and Tips
- Upgrade the Futon as soon as you can. Resting recovers Asumi’s HP and upgrades let you restore more. To unlock the Tier 3 Futon event ‘Buying a High-Quality Futon‘, you first need to complete the Tier 2 event ‘Purchasing an E-bike‘. The Tier 4 unlock lets you restore up to 200 HP per day, so it is absolutely worth it.
- Requirements can change depending on your status, so both beware of and take advantage of this. If Asumi is Tired then spent HP is increased by 20% and by 50% if Sick. However H-scene events have a 50% reduced HP cost if Asumi is Horny and all events have a 20% reduction when Happy. You may wish to prioritize resting or events that use less energy if affected by a debuff or those that use more energy if buffed.
- The higher Asumi’s Happiness stat, the better chance she has of being in a good mood. As such, it’s best to raise happiness early where possible, while still meeting the Max HP goals that are required to proceed.
- Use the desk near the top center (later on the laptop) to see a menu with all the activities that you’ve interacted with and can do. Click the columns to order them by Spent HP, Happiness, or Max HP increase.
- Each activity shows the reward, including what future events it helps to unlock. Prioritize events that unlock higher-level events where possible as these will help you increase your status further in less time. Some activity cards also show that they lead on a path to certain types of H events.
- Complete the Tier 3 event ‘Buying a Mobile Device’ to add one more chance to postpone the appointment with Doctor Ane.
- Make sure that you carefully watch your HP and the requirements of the event. It’s easy to accidentally miss that you need to rest and get a bad end.
- Look for sparkling items around the map to find events which you’ve not yet interacted with. Any unlocked in previous playthroughs will be in the table accessed via the desk. Items only sparkle every few seconds and may be difficult to spot. You may need to flip through multiple activities tied to a single object to find new ones.
- You will not be able to see all events in one run of the game. Plan on playing a few times and taking different unlock paths for events.
- Some adult scenes such as Triple Threat require you to go down multiple unlock paths.
- The green ‘2nd Time’ events can be helpful to raise max HP at a reasonable cost depending on the situation, but they don’t unlock anything and generally shouldn’t be prioritized over progressing further down an unlock path.
- To get the trophies for Raising Asumi’s Max HP to 500 and Happiness to 400 is difficult. It will be better to do them on separate runs of the game.
- While it’s achievable to complete Country Siblings without doing so, you are able to ‘save scum’ if statuses are difficult to deal with. Asumi’s mood changes based on the most recently finished event, but it seems to be based only on that particularly set of circumstances. If you load and do the same event at the same time, the same result will occur. But if you save, do an event, load and do a different event if the result is bad, then do the earlier event at a different time you may get a better result.
