This has been a quiet week for visual novel news. With not much new of note, we reached out to the developer Harukaze to get an update on some older news.

Despite rumors claiming it had been dropped due to the lack of mention or online presence, Harukaze confirmed that the English version of Monkeys!¡ is still in progress. While it wasn’t directly stated, it seems likely that this applies to the Chinese version too.

Nora to Oujo to Noraneko Heart 3 (Noratoto 3) was not inquired about or mentioned at this time.

Monkeys!¡ - English Release Update

The final season of the My Hero Academia anime adaptation has finally begun. Ahead of the premiere, Bandai Namco gave us more details on the upcoming game based on the franchise: My Hero Academia: All’s Justice. In a new trailer, it revealed we’re getting two story modes: one that follows the events of the final arc and another that has you traversing the city doing hero work while playing as some of the franchise’s iconic characters. Plus, we even got the full release date for the title, and it’s not actually too far off from now.

My Hero Academia: All’s Justice launches for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC on February 6th, 2026.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A is releasing next week, so Nintendo and The Pokémon Company released a overview trailer going over all the features available in the full game. Choose your starter Pokémon from a set of three as you explore Luminos City and take part in the Z-A Royale. This game is bringing back the fan-favorite Mega Evolution mechanic and has created new ones not seen in Pokémon X and Pokémon Y.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A releases for Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch on October 16th.

It’s been one year since the release of Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO and all the content promised in the game’s season pass has been released. The game now boasts a gigantic roster of over 200 characters, but it’s not over yet. In a trailer celebrating the anniversary of the game, we got confirmation that more characters are coming and we’ll learn more in January 2026.

At the end of the first season of WITCH WATCH, we got the announcement that a second season is now in the works! Based on the manga by Kenta Shinohara, this comedy focuses on the life of a high school student name Morihito Otogi coming into contact with a witch-in-training called Nico, who is also a childhood friend of his. Things get whacky when Nico picks Morihito as her familiar and the hijinks that occur from this mix of ordinary life with magic.

No premiere date for WITCH WATCH season two was revealed at this time.

After years of waiting, the premiere of Disney Twisted-Wonderland is only a few weeks away. This is an anime adaptation of a mobile game of the same name that reimagines famous Disney villains in an academy, with Yana Toboso, the creator of Black Butler, in charge of the project’s story and character designs. Ahead of its premiere, we got a full trailer that covers the events of the first season, titled Chapter of Heartslabyul. This first season will be comprised of eight episodes and will be available exclusively on Disney+ on October 29th.

Over four years after the previous instalment, the Little Nightmares franchise is finally back this week! Little Nightmares III brings back the puzzle platforming and dark environments fans are familiar with, but now with the inclusion of a second character with unique abilities that you can either play solo (with your partner being controlled by the AI) or with a friend.

Little Nightmares III launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC on October 10th.

A crossover fighting game based on some of Falcom’s most popular franchises is releasing this week! Ys vs. Trails in the Sky Alternative Saga, as the name implies, brings characters from both franchises as they cross swords with each other in battles with up to four players at a time. This game was originally released back in 2010 for the PlayStation Portable in Japan, but this new release is the first time the game will be available in the west and includes English voice acting and online multiplayer.
