Denpasoft has launched it’s winter sale, which lasts from December 15th, 2022 – January 15th, 2023. It features a wide variety of sales, including new titles such as Aokana EXTRA2 or Amatsutsumi, which featured on our Top Visual Novels of 2022 / Upcoming Visual Novels of 2023 list.
MangaGamer has also launched their White Xmas sale, which is shorter, lasting only until December 26th, 2022. It also features quite a few titles, including classics such as Da Capo, and newer titles such as Erovoice.
In the Christmas mood and enjoy otome titles? LegendEx Games has released Wrapped With a Kiss, an indie OELVN featuring 50,000+ words, and partial voice acting, where the seasonally-named Noel meets a cute carpenter.

Gaming News:
After many months of requests sent to Square-Enix, it seems the publisher has finally listened and will release the highly-praised Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters to consoles! These remasters have updated sprites, new features, and a fully remastered soundtrack for Final Fantasy I through Final Fantasy VI. What’s more, we’re also receiving a special 35th anniversary physical release, which includes the game, an artbook, two audio vinyl records, and pixel figures.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remasters will launch for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Spring 2023.
The memorable RPGs starring Capcom’s blue bomber got a new update trailer and release date! Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection includes all six games, including the alternate versions of them, bringing the total to ten games. Not only that, but the game will also include online support. Battle other players or trade battle chips in this modernized take on the Gameboy Advance’s link-cable feature from the original.

After being stuck on the PlayStation 4 since 2017, the successor to the PlayStation’s Digimon World series is finally making its way to more consoles! Digimon World: Next Order is all about raising Digimon to help rebuild the digital world from a strange virus.
Digimon World: Next Order releases for Nintendo Switch and PC on February 22nd, 2023.

We’ve been given a fair bit more news regarding the RPG set in the One Piece universe! One Piece Odyssey will not only be covering the Alabasta and Water Seven arcs, but it will also include the Marineford and Dressrosa arcs as well. If you’d like to get a taste of what the game has to offer, a demo will be available to download on January 10th, 2023.
One Piece Odyssey releases for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, on January 13th, 2023 and PC on January 12th, 2023.

Anime News:
It’s hard to believe it’s been almost a decade since Studio Ghibli’s The Wind Rises released, which was the most recent film directed by the legendary Hayao Miyazaki. However, we finally have word on when his next film will finally release! Tentatively titled How Do You Live, the film got a teaser image, but not much else is known about the project. It is said that the film is based on a novel written by Yoshino Genzaburo called How Do You Live? that was published in 1937, but the film won’t be a full-on adaptation.
How Do You Live will premiere in Japan on July 14th, 2023.
During the weekend, Jump Festa 2023 took place, and we got a ton of anime announcements from some of the biggest franchises in Shonen Jump:
Over five years later, Blue Exorcist is finally returning for a third anime season! The announcement came in the form of a short teaser and teaser image.

Believe it or not, Akira Toriyama has actually made more series than just Dragon Ball. One of them is a series called Sand Land, which tells the story of a demon prince and a town sheriff joining forces to explore a desert world to find a source of water. Initially released as a short manga series in 2000, the story is now getting adapted into 3D animation with production being helmed by Sunrise, Kaimikaze Douga, and ANIMA.
Sand Land premieres in 2023.

Fans of the UNDEAD UNLUCK manga by Yoshifumi Tozuka must have been wondering when the series would get the anime treatment. Well, that time has arrived, with David Production being in charge of the adaptation’s production. The story focuses on a young girl named Fuuko. All she wants is to find love, but she, unfortunately, has an ability called Unluck, making her very unlucky. Just before she plans to take her own life, a strange undead man named Andy literally comes out of nowhere and wants to use her power to find a way to kill him for good. We got a brand new trailer and a release window of 2023.

Initially teased earlier this year, we now have our first proper look at the anime adaptation of Kaiju No. 8! Based on the manga by Naoya Matsumoto, as the name implies, the story is all about giant monsters seen from the perspective of a man who transitions from cleaning up after monster attacks to fighting them directly. Animation production is being helmed by Production I.G, with monster designs being worked on by Studio Khara. Other than that, we don’t know much else, except that the series will premiere in 2024, which was revealed in a brand new trailer.
More info on Mashle: Magic and Muscules was also revealed at the event in the form of a new trailer. Written by Hajime Komoto, the story sees Mash, a boy who trained to get incredible physical strength, but there’s one problem: he lives in a world of magic, but he is unable to perform any magic himself. Curiously, he finds himself enrolled in a magical academy, but how far can his power go in a world governed by magic? Along with a new trailer, we got a new key visual for the adaptation and a release window of April 2023.

Last, but definitely not least, is one of 2022’s most popular anime adaptations: Spy x Family! While the first season was split into two parts, Jump Festa confirmed that a second season is now in production. On top of that, we’re also getting a film that’s being written and supervised by the series’ original creator, Tatsuya Endo. He will also be providing new character designs for the film, along with creating an image announcing the film project.

If you still haven’t played the original Valkyrie Profile yet, now would be a perfect time to do so! Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth is a re-release of the PSP version for consoles and will also include a rewind function and a quick save option.
