Kanon by Key which was localized and published by Visual Arts includes a common route and six heroine routes. One of the routes of this visual novel is locked.
This guide will tell you about the choices to access the various routes and endings on the official English localization of Kanon, which can be found on PC and Nintendo Switch via digital download. There is no English physical version, but the Japanese physical version for the Nintendo Switch has an update to include English.
Using ZenMarket, who have kindly sponsored this article, is a convenient way to get this. They’re an import service that focuses on helping to order items from Japan, consolidating packages to keep the delivery costs down, and sending items worldwide. We’ve given an overview of our experience with their service and how to use it in a previous article.

Routes and Structure
Each heroine has both a good and bad ending with the exception of Sayuri who only has one ending. This guide is split into walkthroughs for each heroine which outline the steps to get these.
The choices presented in often Kanon change based on previous choices made, so it can be complex at times. Not all of them are obvious either.
Following this guide will also unlock all CGs if you complete all of the walkthroughs. This includes Nayuki’s CGs and variants, which aren’t all unlocked in her own route.
Please Note: There may be some slight variation in choice text in the digital Nintendo Switch version due to changes made for release.
Route Order
Aside from Sayuri’s route, you may read Kanon in any route order. However, I would suggest that you read Ayu’s route last as she is the main heroine.
The rest of this suggested order is less strongly suggested:
Nayuki > Makoto > Mai > Sayuri > Shiori > Ayu.
