Visual Novel News:

Shiravune have come out with another surprise visual novel announcement – Nope Nope Nurses will be released on January 14th 2021 on the Johren platform, with an all-ages version coming to Steam on the 21st of January 2021. An 18+ patch will be available for the Steam version.

Nope Nope Nurses description starts with ‘Yamada is afflicted with a rare condition that requires him to bust a nut every three hours or face devastating physical pain’. With Yamada in the hospital with broken hands and ‘milking sessions’ mentioned, this appears to be very focused on the adult content.

DeadΩAegis has now released. This visual novel follows a group of militarized magical girls in space using the powers of aliens against them. Be warned that it contains content such as tentacles, being raped by aliens and abuse.

More details about Sony’s next step in VR technology were unveiled! There are a lot of advancements in the making for the device, promising 2040 Oled screens for both eyes, Six-Axis head tracking, vibration support for both controllers, finger touch detection, and it is set up with just one USB-C cable. The first game to make use of this headset is a new entry in the Horizon series: Horizon: Call of the Mountain, which will feature a new protagonist and is being developed with series developer Guerrilla in tandem with Firesprite Games.

No release window or pricing has been announced for the PlayStation VR2 at this time.

Another year, another E3 is on the horizon. However, the Entertainment Software Association announced that this year’s event will not be held in person. This is due to rising concerns about the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it had on the gaming industry as a whole.

Riding high on the success of Demon Slayer: The Hinokami Chronicles, CyberConnect2 has announced plans to reveal a brand new game from the studio this February! As you might imagine, details are quite scarce at the moment, but the company president and CEO Hiroshi Matsuyama stated that it will be a game that will get people talking and “shake the world!”

Anime News:

The journey for the Laid-Back Camp girls is set to continue with a feature film set to release this Summer in Japan! It will follow up the events from the second season and the staff from the original series are returning for the film. We’ll also be getting key visuals of what each of the characters has been up to in their daily lives, with the first one featuring Nadeshiko being released.

The comic book and film series may have been released over a decade ago, but love for Scott Pilgrim vs. The World hasn’t slowed down in that time! While not confirmed to be in production, there are apparently talks happening between Netflix and Universal’s UCP TV production division for an anime adaptation of the series. The original comic was heavily inspired by a lot of Japanese media, so this would be the perfect next step to take the series!

The next entry in the long-running Pretty Cure series just got a bunch of new information! This included a key visual for the series and a trailer showing the series in action.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: we’re getting a new isekai series based on a light novel series with an absurdly long name: My Isekai Life: I Gained a Second Character Class and Became the Strongest Sage in the World! The anime adaptation is being produced by REVOROOT and we got a new key visual and trailer for the series!

Yet another game is coming to the PC this week and it’s a big one: 2018’s God of War! With God of War Ragnarok arriving later this year, this will be the perfect opportunity to play the original if you missed out on it.
