Shiravune have announced the upcoming release of AMANATSU ~Perfect Edition~ from Azarashi Soft, the developer of Aikagi and Maid for Loving You. This will be Azarashi Soft’s first multi-route visual novel officially released in English. The Perfect Edition adds the E-mote for that added animation. It has been announced for a release on Steam and Johren at $19.99 (dependent on region) with a 20% initial discount.

Umbrella Labs has informed us that Symbol of Sacrifice, their upcoming visual novel with RPG elements, will be released in December 2025. If you don’t want to wait that long, their demo with the first playable story arc will be releasing in May 2024.
Symbol of Sacrifice (SOS) is High Fantasy Sci-Fi visual novel with a heavy jRPG inspiration driven by player choice that tells the tale of the epic clash between two civilizations in their desperate attempt at survival. Our story hones in on the humble beginnings of the cataclysm, in our heroes’ small village of Alezia, where we follow them through the tragedy that befalls their family and their journey towards redemption. During which a vital decision must be made. A sacrifice or a trade. The choice is entirely the players and will split the game into three unique storylines that have different encounters, locations, battles, endings, and more!

Last Sunday was March 10th, a.k.a Mario Day! Nintendo took the day to make some big announcements, with the biggest being the confirmation of a sequel to The Super Mario Bros. Movie! Its release date is also set, with the sequel releasing on April 3rd, 2026. Other than that, they also took the time to announce the release dates for two upcoming remakes set for release this year. The first is the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door, which will be released on May 23rd. The second is Luigi’s Mansion 2 HD, which now has a release date of June 27th.

After the success of the Persona 3 remake, fans were curious if we were going to get the follow-up content that was originally released in Persona 3 FES. Atlus has confirmed that extra content will be coming to the remake via DLC and is titled Aigis: The Answer. The announcement was made through a trailer, which also revealed two other pieces of DLC that will include music tracks from other Persona games, along with brand-new costumes.
Persona 3 Reload‘s Aigis: The Answer DLC will arrive this September.

The next anime collaboration coming to Overwatch 2 is a classic series from the 90s: Cowboy Bebop! All the costumes were showcased in an animated trailer in the style of the original series.

The next entry in the Trails series has been confirmed for a western release! The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak got a new trailer to announce the release date. While not showcased in the trailer, this new entry is bringing a mix between the series’ turn-based combat and action elements.
The Legend of Heroes: Trails through Daybreak launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on July 5th.

A brand new game in the Neptunia franchise is arriving later this year! Neptunia Game Maker R:Evolution sees you playing as an alternate version of the series protagonist, Neptune. Her goal in this game is to rebuild a game company to success. The game brings with it a brand new set of characters.

After the success of the theatrical premiere of season 4 of Demon Slayer, it was just a matter of time before we got the announcement of the series’ return to television. We now have a premiere date for the new season, which was revealed in a brand new trailer with new footage of the upcoming Hashira Training arc.
Demon Slayer season 4 premieres on May 12th.

The SAND LAND movie released last year is getting adapted into a series! The first six episodes will cover the events from the film, with some brand-new footage added. What’s exciting is that the episodes that follow it will be all-new and be set in a location called Forestland.
The SAND LAND series premieres on Disney+ on March 20th.

We got an announcement from Bird Studio that saddened the whole world. Legendary mangaka Akira Toriyama passed away on March 1st due to acute subdural hematoma at the age of 68. He was most well known for creating Dragon Ball: the most popular and influential manga series printed in Shonen Jump and helped pave the way for the shonen genre we all know today. He was also famous for being the artist behind Dragon Quest, which has become one of the most successful RPG series ever made. We at NookGaming offer our condolences to all the friends and family affected by his passing. Rest in peace, Akira Toriyama.
