Visual Novel News:

MUSICUS! has been announced to release on and Steam on April 8th. This is the final release for the renounced studio OverDrive, which also brought us Bokuten – Why I Became An Angel, Kira Kira, and Chou Dengeki Stryker. With numerous positive comments from the visual novel community and an average score of 8.69 (very good) on VNDB, this sounds like one to look forward to. The story has been described as follows:

Growing up, Kei’s future could not be any clearer. As the son of a long line of doctors he was on the fast track into medical college until everything changed one day. Forced to drop out and struggle to complete night classes to finish his education, he finds himself doubting the rails that had been laid before him. Did he ever truly want to be a doctor? Could there possibly be any other path for him to take in life? What follows an endeavor taken upon a whim leads to a whirlwind of new experiences and an encounter with rock’n roll that strikes a chord with his very soul. Does he dare to do it? To cast aside his former dreams for the chance to pursue something he never imagined before?

Experience it for yourself in this masterpiece that explores the soul of rock’n roll, and delves into the tribulations that follow every decision we make in life and our careers!

MUSICUS! can be preordered now for a 10% discount.

NekoNyan recently launched their Kickstarter for physical goods related to Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche. The basic funding and four further stretch goals have been met. With this, they have made two important announcements.

The fifth stretch goal is for both a Nintendo Switch version of Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche to be published and for the fandisc Kinkoi: Golden Loveriche – Golden Time to be translated. Reportedly this fandisc is relatively long compared to some others. To be clear though, backing the Kickstarter will not give access to these as rewards. The stretch goal is just to fund their creation.

In addition, a demo showing the common route has been released so you can get to know the characters before committing. This can be downloaded free here.
