Aokana -Four Rhythms Across the Blue- – Walkthrough & Guide

Aokana -Four Rhythms Across the Blue- (Ao no Kanata no Four Rhythm) takes you through a common route with several choice points. This guide will tell you which choices to make to access the four routes, and explains the situation regarding the adult patch.

18+ Content

If you have purchased the Steam version of Aokana -Four Rhythms Across the Blue-, you can download the free 18+ DLC via the NekoNyan website. 

When you download this, extract the adult.dat file and place it in the Aokana_Data folder. By default, this will be found at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Aokana\Aokana_Data. Please note that this is not the base folder for the game installation, but the Aokana_Data subfolder.

If you’re having issues downloading the patch, then NekoNyan stated in a tweet “We’ve also largely identified the issue people have with downloading patches from our site as ISP level DNS blocking the domain/CDN. If you get errors trying to download, try changing your DNS on your computer or router to Google DNS (8.8.8.8) or Cloudflare (1.1.1.1)”.

Of course, you can instead buy the full version from stores that support adult content and will then not need to install a patch to access the 18+ content.

Sprite Viewer

Complete all routes to unlock the sprite viewer.

Common Route

Choose the following options. This will unlock all possible endings. If you do not choose correctly, certain options will not appear at the end.

• Talk to her
• Because I want you to know how to fly
• Ask her about Misaki’s lack of motivation
• Sure, why not. I’ll tag along
• Tell her to try harder
• Continue our practice
• Come up with a special move
• Tell her
• Go and talk to her

After these choices, you will be presented with 1 – 4 choices which sets you onto a route. I recommend saving here and loading for other routes.

Asuka

• …Okay

Mashiro

• No, I can’t do that
• I want you to

Rika

• No, I can’t do that
• You should do what you want
• If you’re fine with me, I’ll do it

Misaki

• No, I can’t do that
• You should do what you want
• Sorry, I can’t
• Come to practice!

Bad End

This ending is required for a Steam achievement but is otherwise not important. You can access it by making several poor choices, or by following the above common route choices with the following:

• You should do what you want
• Sorry, I can’t
• Do what you want

True End

Once you complete your fourth heroine end, the true end will start automatically..
