Spike Chunsoft announced that STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT will be released in 2026, a delay from the initial release window of 2025. The Science Adventure X/Twitter account noted this is in order to enhance the quality.

Gaming News:
Hoyoverse have announced a new game project separate from their other franchises. The game is titled Varsapura and has you joining the ranks of SEAL; a task force that takes down various anomalies that occur from a phenomenon known as Mindrot. The game is set in a modern open-world city while also using a combat system similar to their other titles like Genshin Impact, though with the addition of stealth. This also marks the studio’s first game to utilise Unreal Engine 5.
No platforms or release window for Varsapura were announced at this time.

It’s been quite a while since its announcement early in the year, but we finally have more information on Tides of Annihilation. Eclipse Glow Games revealed a snippet of new gameplay that has the protagonist, Gwendolyn taking on a boss fight that is quite the spectacle. We also get another glimpse at the game’s Knights System that lets you summon various spirits to aid you in combat.
Tides of Annihilation is coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC. No release date has been announced at this time.

A spin-off to poncle’s extremely popular title, Vampire Survivors was announced. This new game is called Vampire Crawlers: The Turbo Wildcard from Vampire Survivors and is all about deck-building combined with dungeon crawling gameplay. How you build your deck matters, as you’ll be able to create satisfying combos that leads to you multiplying the effects of your cards. It has also been confirmed that post-launch support for this new game is already in the works.

An updated version of NIS America’s latest entry in the Ys series is coming to the West. Ys X: Proud Nordics includes the original game’s content, but also adds in quality of life features, a new time-trial dungeon, and additional story content featuring new characters named Canute and Astrid.
Ys X: Proud Nordics is coming to PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC on February 20th, 2026.

As the final season of the anime continues to air, we’ve gotten another trailer for the next game in the My Hero Academia franchise. This trailer is all about the final battle in the series being adapted to the game, but also reveals that you’ll get early unlocks to two new characters if you pre-order the game: Izuku Midoriya (Rising) and All for One (Chaos.)

Even though we just got a remaster of Tales of Xillia last month, Bandai Namco have already announced yet another remaster project for another beloved entry in the Tales franchise. This time around, we’re getting a re-release of Tales of Berseria, which originally released back in 2017. The game is a prequel to the events of Tales of Zesteria and puts you in the perspective of a young woman named Velvet Crowe. After she witnesses the tragedy of her brother’s murder and becomes a being called a Therion, she’s locked away in a prison and now thirsts for revenge against her brother’s killer. This new version will allow players to access the Grade Shop earlier in the game, includes destination markers, and all the DLC from the original release will be included.

Nintendo have revealed that production for the live-action Legend of Zelda film has officially begun. The announcement came with new images of Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Link and Bo Bragason as Zelda.
The live-action Legend of Zelda film is set to release on May 7th, 2027.
On the topic of video game film adaptations, a popular survival horror franchise is returning to theaters next year. Return to Silent Hill is the third film in the franchise, with this film acting as a reboot, along with the first film’s director, Christophe Gans returning to direct this new film. This newest film is an adaptation of Silent Hill 2 which sees a man named James returning to a town called Silent Hill after receiving a letter from Mary beckoning him to return.
Return to Silent Hill is coming to theaters on January 23rd, 2026.

A new trailer for the upcoming film in the That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime franchise was released. The film’s full title is That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime the Movie: Tears of the Azure Sea and is being produced at studio eightbit, with Yasuhito Kikuchi directing the film. Alongside the new trailer, a new piece of key art was also unveiled. While the film is currently set for a Japanese release in February 2026, Crunchyroll have confirmed that the film will be coming to worldwide theaters, but no release date has been announced at this time.

Based on the popular webtoon of the same name, a new game in the Solo Leveling series is releasing this week. Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive sees the series protagonist, Sung Jinwoo on his quest to become the strongest hunter, with this game covering both the events from the series and all-new adventures unique to this game. Build up your arsenal with craftable weapons and join other players in co-op raids with up to four players in fast-paced combat sequences.
Solo Leveling: Arise Overdrive releases exclusively for PC on November 24th.
