Visual Novel News:
Shiravune have announced Hentai Prison (called HENPRI on Steam), a 2022 visual novel by Qruppo, the developers of Nukitashi. Hentai Prison is a highly anticipated title and is currently scored highly on VNDB (8.48 average). The release window is sometime in 2025.
Tulip Prison—a special penitentiary filled with sex criminals from all over Japan who have been deemed too perverted to rehabilitate. As the “phantom precinct” of the justice system, its facilities occupy an inescapable island that stands alone on the open sea. Shuichiro Minato—a young man who lives in Tokyo. The police gave him the nickname “Exhibitiman.” Fundamentally opposed to the idea of clothing, he is driven by a powerful compulsion to get naked. This obsession has led him to risk his very life to streak, and one day, amid the Christmas lighting of a beautiful winter night, it led him to be arrested for indecent exposure and assault. Shuichiro defended himself in court, describing his acts of exhibitionism as self-expression—art—but no one understood him. He was sentenced to ten years of penal servitude for resisting arrest and his repeated acts of public indecency. What’s more, he was deemed too far gone to rehabilitate… and thrown into Tulip Prison. In a modern-day dungeon with monsters around every corner, can one brave exhibitionist survive? Society calls these prisoners ‘‘HENTAI’’—sicko perverts—and whatever the future holds, one thing is for sure: This prison ain’t no paradise.
Shiravune also made another announcement this week. Holy Valkyrie ExS-TIA: Concerto 1 by developer Lusterise will be released on an unannounced future date. This is a magical girl title with several sequels in the series.
Faith will be your strength In the peaceful city of Kawado Higashi, a fearsome discovery has been made—”Guilt Seeds” that cause people’s desires to run wild, turning them into monsters. Left unchecked, countless innocents will be transformed into abominations, wreaking havoc upon others. In order to prevent this from happening, Ichika Itakano must search for these Guilt Seeds. During this time, Haruno Aikawa is attacked by one such Guilt Seed monster. Coming across her by chance, Ichika sees that she has a talent for PP and bestows her with an ExS-Device. The girl named Haruno transforms into ExS-TIA Ignis, and successfully defeats the monster. At Ichika’s request, Haruno—newly christened “ExS-TIA Ignis”—aids her in her hunt for the Guilt Seeds.
MAGES have announced a remaster of the Infinity Series (Ever17 -The Out of Infinity- and Never7 -The End of Infinity-). They have been announced as both digital release and a double pack physical release, to be released on March 6th, 2025. They will be coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Steam digitally, but the physical double pack only lists Nintendo Switch. At this time, they have only been announced in Asian regions, but English, Traditional Chinese, and Japanese have all been listed as languages.
The physical edition is currently available for preorder on Amazon JP, so if they are not released in other regions, you may wish to use an service such as ZenMarket to import them.
Update: Shortly after this post was made live, Spike Chunsoft confirmed that they will be the European and North American publisher for these titles. They have only noted publishing them digitally, with no mention made of a physical release.

MangaGamer have now announced the release date of Welcome to a Sexy Open World by MOONSTONE, the developer behind titles such as Princess Evangile, Magical Marriage Lunatics, and the Imouto Paradise series. This isekai adventure will be released on December 19th, 2024. There is a sale on MOONSTONE titles to celebrate which includes hardcopies and wallscrolls.

Publisher Gravity have announced the upcoming release date of Tokyo Psychodemic to be November 28th, 2024 (JST). This visual novel includes gameplay elements to solve the mysteries. At the time of writing, Tokyo Psychodemic is currently on Steam with Japanese-support only, but this is the date when English, Chinese, and Korean support are due to be added.
Notably, the Steam reviews for this title are ‘Mostly Negative’ at the time of writing. User reviews have brought up complaints regarding the story generally, the dynamic between the characters, the user interface, and finding the gameplay confusing. A demo is available (currently only in Japanese).

Gaming News:
It’s been confirmed that Sony is currently in talks to attempt to purchase the Kadokawa Corporation! Kadokawa is a parent company that owns multiple other companies that range from film, television, and yes, even video games. To be more specific, they are the owners of huge Japanese development studios such as FromSoftware and Spike Chunsoft. Kadokawa themselves published a statement confirming Sony’s interest in purchasing the company, but a full decision has yet to be made as of now.
While it wasn’t news of a sixth installment that fans were expecting, SEGA are releasing a new version of Virtua Fighter 5 specifically for the PC! This port is based on a previous release: Virtua Fighter 5: Ultimate Showdown, though will now come with some extra additions. These includes boosted 4K visuals, a new balance patch, and rollback netcode. If you don’t own a PC or have already purchased the game on other platforms, fear not! A 2.0 version of the game with a balance update is coming too.

News for the next entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise has been radio silent for a while now, but we finally got an update even if it isn’t the best news. Square-Enix has confirmed that Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link has been delayed, but no new release window has been announced at this time.
Believe it or not, but Dragon Ball: The Breakers is now two years old! To celebrate the anniversary, the game has added Gamma 1 & Gamma 2 as playable raiders, along with adding new items that let you transform into Orange Piccolo and Beast Gohan.

Anime News:
The first part of Re:Zero‘s third season has come to an end, but we’ve been given our first look at what we can expect in the second part! Titled the Counterattack arc, the announcement came with it a new piece of key art and a release date for when the series will continue.
Part 2 of the third season of Re:Zero premieres on February 5th, 2025.
A third season of Star Wars: Visions has been confirmed! While the second season featured many international animation studios, the third season is using Japanese studios once again. They aren’t small studios either, as we can expect segments from the likes of Production I.G, David Production, Studio TRIGGER, and WIT Studio.
Volume 3 of Star Wars: Visions will arrive exclusively for Disney+ in 2025.
On the topic of Disney and anime, a long-awaited project has finally been re-announced! Originally revealed all the way back in 2021, the Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime adaptation received no updates for almost three years, but we finally have more details on what fans can expect from the adaptation. The announcement revealed that we’ll be getting three seasons, with each one based on a different set of characters. The series is being produced by Yumeta Company and Graphinica, while also providing a release window.
The Disney Twisted-Wonderland anime adaptation is coming exclusively for Disney+ in October 2025.
