Sekai Project has announced Slobbish Dragon Princess 2 is coming to Steam on Dec. 17th. With a story continuing on from the first instalment, it promises NEET dragon girls and Art by Takano Yuki (NEKO-NIN series, Da Capo).

Cyanotype Daydream -The Girl Who Dreamed the World- has been announced as ‘coming soon’. The store page clarifies this as December 2021, though an exact date is not yet known.
This is a title by Laplacian, who have localized it themselves. As we mentioned back in April 2021, they’ve previously worked with Sol Press to release Newton and the Apple Tree, JAST USA to bring us Rikky Horne (NSFW) and are currently working with NekoNyan to bring us The Future Radio and the Artificial Pigeons.

Gaming News:
Another year, another Game Awards show has come and gone. Outside of the awards themselves, we got a ton of new and exciting announcements. Let’s rapid-fire some of what was revealed:
During the pre-show, we got word that Atlus are bringing the well-loved fighting game, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax to modern platforms! Serving as a canon story to the Persona franchise and a follow-up to the original Persona 4 Arena, battle your foes alongside your Persona in this 2D fighter developed by Arc System Works!
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax releases for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC on March 17th, 2022.

Announced before the event, the first trailer for the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 film premiered at The Game Awards! Given what was shown, it looks as if the film will adapt the stories of Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles, with a large focus on Tails and Knuckles.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2 premieres in theatres on April 8th, 2022.

Last year’s long-awaited remake of a beloved JRPG is finally making the jump to other platforms! Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is coming to PC via the Epic Games Store and includes the original game, plus the Intergrade content that was previously exclusive to the PlayStation 5 version.

The creator of one of the most renowned survival horror games, Silent Hill, is making a brand new game! Keiichrio Toyama and his new studio at Bokeh announced Slitterhead, a brand new IP that seems to take heavy inspiration from the popular manga Parasyte.
Slitterhead currently has no release window or platform announcements at this time.

Alongside the movie trailer, the next mainline entry in the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise got a brand new trailer! Now titled Sonic Frontiers, we got our first glimpse at in-game engine footage and revealed that this Sonic game intends to be an open-world game with clear inspiration from Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.
Sonic Frontiers arrives for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC in Holiday 2022.

Forspoken, the new game from Square-Enix got a brand new trailer and a release date: May 24th, 2022.
It was announced quite a while back, but we finally have an update on the DLC expansion for Cuphead! New bosses were shown and a live performance was performed that seems to tease the theme song for the expansion.
Cuphead: The Delicious Last Course expansion launches for Playstation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on June 30th, 2022.

Outside of The Game Awards, there were a bunch of other gaming stories this week too. Granblue Fantasy: Relink‘s development has definitely not been smooth, but it’s now one step closer to being fully realized. The game got a brand new trailer, showing the game’s action-RPG combat system and the incredibly impressive production values. This new trailer also confirmed that alongside the PlayStation 5 and Playstation 4 versions, a PC version will also be coming.

IntiCreates is bringing another entry in their popular pheromone shooter series to the Switch later this year! Gal Gun: Double Peace is the second game in the series and this new release will include the DLC the original game had, and you’ll also get bonuses if you have save data for Gal Gun 2 or Gal Gun Returns.
Gal Gun: Double Peace comes to the Nintendo Switch on March 17th, 2022.

The designer for the iconic Famicom and Super Famicom consoles, Masayuki Uemura, sadly passed away at the age of 78. He began work at Nintendo back in 1972, he was tasked with helping design a cartridge-based video game console and using the color scheme of a scarf he liked, this resulted in the original Famicom. Even after his retirement in 2004, he continued to assist as an advisor for the company’s research and engineering department. Rest in peace, Masayuki Uemura.
Anime News:
Anime’s favorite part-time working devil is finally returning to television! The Devil is a Part-Timer!! is getting a second season, with a new trailer and key visual announcing the production.
The Devil is a Part-Timer!! premieres sometime in July 2022.

While it was released in Japan earlier this year, Mamoru Hosoda’s next animated film, BELLE, is getting an English dub! In a new trailer, the cast for the film was announced and we’ve been given a taste of what the English adaptation will be like. The film will also be coming to IMAX theatres on January 12th, 2022.
BELLE arrives in American theatres on January 14th, 2022.

Two of Dengeki Bunko’s most popular series celebrated their 15th anniversary recently and have confirmed two new projects for them! Those two franchises are ones anime fans are sure to recognize: Toradora and Spice and Wolf! While new series for both haven’t been confirmed as of yet, the fact we’re getting new content from these two fan-favorite series is a big deal all by itself!
Anime screenwriter, Keiko Nobumoto, sadly passed away at the age of 57. She was most known for creating the series Wolf’s Rain and for working on the screenplays for Tokyo Godfathers, Macross Plus, and her most famous work, Cowboy Bebop. Outside of anime, she was also a scenario supervisor for the original Kingdom Hearts. Rest in peace, Keiko Nobumoto.
