Visual Novel News:
Shiravune has announced the release date of Double Date Dilemma (Aisai x Koukan Ninkatsu Swapping ~Haramigoro no Tsuma-tachi wa Kodane o Motome Nikuyoku no Hana o Sakaseru~) by ANIM. This partner-swapping visual novel will be released on Steam on March 5th, 2026.
Years into their marriage, the Kajiuras finally try to have a child only to find that they can’t. Knowing that things can’t continue on like this, Kouki decides to do some research and comes across a relationship seminar. After successfully cajoling his wife Risa into attending and hearing the lecturers’ speeches, even she comes around to thinking that this may work. When they meet the Sonodas at one of the seminar’s group sessions, the Kajiuras find themselves opening up to them about their problems and become close enough to start hanging out outside of the seminar. However, a session weeks in where the two couples go on a double date puts them all on the path to doing it more and more.
Gaming News:
To celebrate the 30th anniversary of CyberConnect2, the company announced the return of the .hack franchise after over 15 years! This new entry is titled .hack//Z.E.R.O. and (like the prior entries) will mix its gameplay between a fictional MMORPG called The World alongside interacting in the real world the game is released in. Unlike the other titles, this game is being both developed and self-published by CyberConnect2.
The platforms and release date for .hack//Z.E.R.O. have not been announced at this time.

It has been nine years since the release of the hugely popular NieR: Automata and the game has also managed to sell over 10 million units in that time. Square-Enix chose to celebrate the anniversary and milestone with a new piece of art and a video going over the many projects and collaborations the title has had. At the very end of the video, a single message was displayed: “NieR Automata to be continued…”

At the end of the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie in 2024, we got the reveal that Amy Rose will be joining the film series. We’re still over a year away until the fourth film releases, but we now have word on who will be playing the character. Kristen Bell, known for Veronica Mars and voicing Anna in Frozen, has been cast to portray Amy in Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
Sonic the Hedgehog 4 is set to release in theaters on March 19th, 2027.
The second character in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves‘s second season pass is releasing this week. Fans will now get the chance to play as Nightmare Geese, who is a version of the famous antagonist from the series. What’s more, a new set of content based on Street Fighter is also releasing, including new outfits for Rock Howard and Preecha based on Luke and Juri respectively.
Nightmare Geese will be available in Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves on February 26th.

On February 27th, the Pokémon franchise turns 30-years old and The Pokémon Company is choosing the celebrate the milestone with re-releases of two popular entries in the franchise. Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen are getting released on the Nintendo Switch via the eShop. These are identical to their Game Boy Advance originals, with the previously exclusive Sevii Islands being included. For those who’ve got to catch ’em all, you’ll be happy to hear that support for Pokémon HOME will be coming to these re-releases soon.

On the topic of fictional creatures made popular in the 1990s, Digimon also got some news with an update on the third and final DLC pack coming to Digimon Story: Time Stranger‘s season pass. This third pack is called Anti-ParadoX and will be including several famous Digimon in their X Antibody versions, with the trailer teasing a release window for the new content.

Anime News:
World-famous anime studio, ufotable released a highlight reel going over their projects, as well as the ones that will be releasing in the future. As expected, the sequel to Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle was mentioned, but also the long-dormant anime adaptation of Genshin Impact was also re-confirmed. ufotable also teased a collaboration with Bandai Namco’s Tales Of series that will be fully revealed on April 3rd.

Upcoming Releases:
The ninth mainline entry in Capcom’s Resident Evil series is ready for release this week. Titled Resident Evil Requiem, you play as both a new character named Grace Ashcroft and fan-favourite character, Leon S. Kennedy as they both go to the remains of Raccoon City to uncover a new mystery. The game uses a mix of both first and third person gameplay with both survival horror and action gameplay fans of the franchise have come to know and love.

A remaster of one of the more recent Tales Of games is ready to release this week. Tales of Berseria Remastered is a tale of revenge with you taking on the role of Velvet Crowe as she vows vengeance against a man named Artorius who completely destroyed her life years ago. This updated release gives you access to the Grade Shop earlier in the game, includes destination markers, and all the DLC from the original release will be included.
