Visual Novel News:
Spike Chunsoft have announced that CHAOS;HEAD NOAH and CHAOS;CHILD will be released as a double pack on 7th October 2020. This is a HD remaster in 1080p, with a release only announced for Nintendo Switch currently. A physical version will be launched with a steelbook.
Robotics;Notes was previously released as a double pack with similar treatment. While there was some complaints about the translation not being consistent with previous entries, we highly recommended the title as shown in our review here.
Frontwing has announced that they will be releasing Hatsumira -from the future undying- in a Spring 2022 release. This is an isekai fantasy adventure where a Zero fighter pilot crash lands and finds himself in a sword of swords and sorcery. It’s from the same development team as the Grisaia series.
A Week On The Water, the latest in the My Time With Dee Dee series has just released a demo. It describes itself as a light-hearted, flirty and sexy comedy with a warm beat and rhythm, where you can join four beautiful girls on a luxury yacht.
You can see our looks at the earlier My Time with Dee titles here. There has been a notable improvement in the artwork since the series started, which can be seen in the demo.
A Bundle for Ukraine is currently available on Itch.io. This bundle is selling 570+ digital games and a variety of other content for $10 USD in support of the work that the International Medical Corps and Voices of Children are doing in Ukraine.
The bundle contains several Original English Language visual novels, including but not limited to 2064: Read Only Memories, Highway Blossoms: Remastered, Arcade Spirits and Nina Aquila, Legal Eagle: Season One (which we’ve previously reviewed the full series of). Outside of the visual novels, while not all of the games included are highly rated there are many older but great ones such as Wandersong, Crosscode and Superhot.
Ebi-Hime’s latest yuri visual novel All the Words She Wrote, has been released. It describes itself as a sweet, slow burn yuri romance story about a grumpy, socially awkward writer and her cheery, happy-go-lucky fan set in the Japanese countryside.
Ebi-Hime is known for titles such as Blackberry Honey and Embraced by Autumn, which we recommended in our review.
Seventh Lair has been announced for a March 31st release from MangaGamer. This visual novel is described as a tongue-in-cheek, but emotional look at the online interactions between an indie game developer and fans. It will be on MangaGamer’s own store and Steam.
This is by the creators of The House in Fata Morgana, notable for being one of the highest ranked games (not just visual novels) and temporarily the highest rated game on MetaCritic.
MangaGamer is holding a White Day sale, which seems to focus on otome, boys love and yuri titles. It includes OshiRabu: Waifus Over Husbandos, which we previously recommended.

A Flicker of Light has released on Steam. It is currently only available in Chinese, but states that English is coming soon.
It follows Eason, an ordinary citizen who gets caught up with an organised crime syndicate.
