Sekai Project have released Neko-mimi Sweet Housemates Vol. 1. A demo can be found on the Steam page.

In this cute visual novel by Animal Herb, you come across a Cherubim, a half animal, half angel girl from Heaven, collapsed in front of your home. Hearing that she has been exiled from heaven, she ends up as your roommate.

Two weeks ago, Square-Enix’s popular Kingdom Hearts series turned 20 years old! To celebrate the occasion, a special anniversary event was held and it had a few things to announce. The first two were an August release window for the conclusion of Kingdom Hearts Dark Road and a new mobile game titled Kingdom Hearts Missing-Link. But the main event was the announcement of Kingdom Hearts 4! The trailer raises new questions, hints at new gameplay mechanics, and reveals the series protagonist, Sora’s brand new design.

No release window or platforms for Kingdom Hearts 4 have been announced at this time.

While it was released back in December, Kadokawa Games’ enhanced version of Demon Gaze is arriving on another platform this month! Demon Gaze EXTRA is coming to PC via Steam on April 26th, with a 10% discount on the game until May 2nd. There will also be a Digital Premium Edition of the title with DLC and a digital copy of the game’s Memorial Soundtrack.

With the anime series making its long-awaited return this July, there will be other ways to enjoy this highly celebrated series. Made in Abyss: Binary Star Falling into Darkness was previously unveiled a while back, but we now have our first look at gameplay and some of the story cutscenes with a custom-created character in a brand new trailer.

From one anime license to another, the shoot-’em-up based on Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid has been playable in Japan since last month, but we finally have confirmation that the title will be coming to the west! Developed by Kaminari Games, Aksys Games is taking the helm to get Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid: Burst Forth!! Choro-gon Breath to western shores.

Anime News:

The next film from the legendary Makoto Shinkai, who is best known for Your Name and Weathering with You, is arriving in Japan later this year! Titled Suzume no Tojimari, the film sees a young girl name Suzume coming across a young man who is looking for a certain door. Opening a rather weathered-looking door, Suzume unintentionally starts a chain of events causing many doors across Japan to open and cause havoc. It’s up to Suzume to close these door portals to prevent further destruction to the country! We also got our first look at the film in motion with a short teaser.

Suzume no Tojimari premieres in Japan on November 11th.

The recent Toei Animation hack has caused quite a stir at the studio. Not only did they have to delay the new Dragon Ball film, but all of their animated series also had to be put on hold. Those of you who may be frustrated with not being able to see some of your favorite series can breathe a sigh of relief, as Toei has announced the return of four of their most popular series! Their return dates are as follows:

Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai returns on April 16th.

One PieceDigimon Ghost Game, and Delicious Party Pretty Cure will release their latest episodes on April 17th.

A legendary mangaka, Motoo Abiko, passed away on April 7th. He was most well known for being one of the creators of Doraemon along with Hiroshi Fujimoto. Motoo Abiko was also known for working on other series such as The Laughing Salesman, Obake Q-Tarou, and Ninja Hattori-kun. Rest in peace, Motoo Abiko.

Upcoming Releases:

If you missed out on playing Vanillaware’s most recent title, 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, or have a desire to play it portably, you’ll be happy to hear it’s coming to the Nintendo Switch this week! Mixing their side-scrolling story segments with a real-time strategy game themed around defeating Kaijus, this beautiful-looking title is definitely one to try out if you haven’t already.
