Nook News – 9/20/21

Visual Novel News:

In a surprising announcement, Harem Kingdom by SMEE will be published by Shiravune and is coming on September 24th. On release it will only be coming to Johren, with no official word on a Steam release as of yet. This is an isekai visual novel, where the socially awkward protagonist is told he is the last king and must form a harem.

Interestingly Shiravune did not translate this title, but did the editing. On the Shiravune Discord it was mentioned that translation was handled by an unknown third-party, possibly SMEE themselves.

TalesShop has announced that they will be releasing their next game. Love Flute will be releasing in Korean in in October, with an English version coming soon after. It’s a Romantic Comedy visual novel about a busker trying to make it big and a ghost with a goal.

Cherry Kiss Games has just released Big Dick at the Beach on the JASTUSA and Steam stores. As you’d imagine by the title, this is very much an adult title. This description on the store page is ‘You’re the most hung stud on the beach, so take your pick from the bounty of beautiful babes to have some naughty ‘fun in the sun’ with. That’s what summer is all about!’

On the indie developer side of the visual novel world, HusbandoGoddess has just released Another Day. The store page describes the story as ‘Sebastian is at the end of his rope. Tired of the pain, he goes to end his life but stumbles upon someone who is planning to do the same’. Considering the premise and the warnings regarding transphobia, suicidal thoughts and attempts, body dysphoria, abuse, and self-harm, this certainly isn’t going to be a light story.
