Following a series of hints in their Discord server, Kagami Games has revealed five visual novels that will join their 2026 lineup, which includes a simultaneous publication of an upcoming title.
- Karigurashi Ren’ai: Living on Borrowed Love by ASa Project (March 2026 release)
- Koikata: How Our Love Grows (Koi Suru Kimochi no Kasanekata) by ensemble (Q2 2026 release)
- Twilight’s Folclore (Tasogare no Folclore) by Navel (originally launched through their sub-brand Citrus) (Q3 2026 release)
- Inganock of the Raging Flame (Sekien no Inganock -What a Beautiful People-) by Liar-soft (Q4 2026 release)
- Triple Pairing by Hooksoft (simultaneous release with Japanese version on May 29, 2026)
All titles listed above will be released in English, Traditional Chinese, and Simplified Chinese, except for Inganock of the Raging Flame which will only be released in English. All titles are planned to come to Steam. Additionally, it was announced in their Discord server that ports for mobile (Android/iOS) and console (Switch) are currently in development for Koikata: How Our Love Grows, Twilight’s Folclore and Inganock of the Raging Flame.
Update: Kagami Games later followed with these messages, stating that mobile and console ports are just being considered, rather than in development: “My apologies, but I’ve been informed there was a mistranslation in the list of HD Remaster features for the projects”. “At this time, we cannot guarantee mobile and console releases. I deeply apologize for the miscommunication.”
On their livestream, they also hinted at further announcements coming during 2026.
Details from the publishers on each of the visual novels follow below in italics, with additional commentary by ourselves as appropriate:

Karigurashi Ren’ai: Living on Borrowed Love
Karigurashi Ren’ai originally released in 2018 and is from the same developer as popular titles, including Futamata Ren’ai: Two Times the Trouble, Renai Karichaimashita: Koikari – Love For Hire, Sankaku Renai: Love Triangle Trouble, Renai X Royale – Love’s a Battle, and Ren’ai 0 Kilometer. They’re known for comedy-heavy romance stories. An uncensored release was confirmed on the livestream.
Kagami Games confirmed that the resolution has been upgraded from 1280×720 to 1920×1080 and that a large portion of the game’s code has been rewritten to further optimize performance for a smoother and more stable experience.
After studying long and hard to get into his dream school, Setoda Takuma returns to the town he grew up in, hoping for a fresh start…but his house is a total mess! Worse than that, he’s broke. Luckily for him, his childhood friends all offer to let him couch surf at their places on a rotation system.
Aranami Kyou (c.v. Hanazawa Sakura)
A sweet and flirty older sister figure. She’s the only one who stayed in contact with Takuma throughout the years. Though she seems reliable and well put together…she’s a total sloth that can’t even handle basic household chores.
Niizuma Hiyori (c.v. Kusuhara Yui)
An energetic and friendly girl. She’s the daughter of a traditional tea house. She’s easy to get along with, but she has a big mouth and often puts things too bluntly.
Sakuragibashi Rito (c.v. Ayumi Sarah)
An abrasive yet lonely girl. As kids, Takuma thought she was a boy. She lives alone, and while she lashes out at Takuma frequently, deep down, she yearns to be touched.
Yohakari Ayaka (c.v. Kano Manaka)
An angelic honor student and Takuma’s pretend little sister. As the eldest daughter of a family of five, she’s an amazing cook. Deep down, there’s something strange about her… She’s a massive pervert.
In addition, the two sub-heroines with routes are included: Usujima Nanako (c.v. Toono Soyogi), a carefree goofball and friend of Ayaka’s, along with Yohakari Maru (c.v. Kitami Rikka), Ayaka’s sharp-tongued little sister who loves her big sister a little too much.

Koikata: How Our Love Grows
Koikata: How Our Love Grows was originally released in 2015 by the developer ensemble. While ensemble has released in excess of forty titles in Japan and is known for their visual novels that feature the word ‘Otome’ in the title and which focus on cross-dressing male protagonists, only Secret Agent has been officially released in English among their catalog, making this the second official release of an ensemble title.
Kagami Games confirmed that it will be released as an ultra 2K remaster, it has been ported to a new game engine, it includes the Ichika route, which was not present in the original game, and it will be uncensored. A controller mode has been added and it’s specifically optimized for devices like the Steam Deck, with full support for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Ougi Ren gets good grades, is athletic, and has a good personality, so he’s quite popular with the ladies. That said, he’s also pragmatic, and actually puts thought into his actions before he takes them. So when adjacent schools Seiou Academy and Shiraba Academy announce a merger because their chairmen have married, Ren and student council leader Saori are consulted to see how the students are reacting to it—and everyone’s got their own concerns.
Koikata: How Our Love Grows has six main heroines. The publisher has provided descriptions of them:
Tsukishima Saori (c.v. Aji Sanma)
The student council president of Seiou Academy, Saori is Ren’s mirror—intelligent, proper, and popular. By appearances only, she’s a model young lady, but behind the scenes, she’s actually a mess.
Ougi Ichika (c.v. Shirotsuki Kaname)
Ren’s younger stepsister who struggles with men other than him. A cute, reliable honor student who’s just a bit on the shy side.
Narumi Akane (c.v. Arisugawa Miyabi)
The beach volleyball captain at Shiraba Academy. She’s a serious and passionate athlete who’s preparing harder than anyone for the upcoming tournament.
Kuonji Hiyori (c.v. Hatori Ichi)
A clumsy girl without a mother who has grown to be rather naive. Her passion is coffee, and she dreams of opening a cafe with a doting husband.
Kaburagi Yukie (c.v. Akino Hana)
Ren and Ichika’s next door “older sister.” She is the student council president, and is well-respected by all the students. Loves both Ren and Ichika as if they were her real siblings, but likes to tease Ren in particular.
Hiiragi Mio (c.v. Fujimori Yukina)
The younger sister of Shiraba Academy’s board chairman. A serious girl, Mio often makes a bad first impression. However, she’s actually cheerful and is sure to treat everyone equally, regardless of gender.
Twilight’s Folclore
Even though it originally launched under their Citrus sub-brand before moving under the main Navel brand, Twilight’s Folclore (or Tasogare no Folclore) represents the first title that Navel has released in English in over a decade. Most Western fans probably know Navel for SHUFFLE! and its spin-offs, or maybe Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai, but this title is a short historical drama visual novel and quite a departure from those romance comedies.
Kagami Games confirmed that it will be released as an ultra 2K remaster and ported to a new game engine. A controller mode has been added and it’s specifically optimized for devices like the Steam Deck, with full support for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
The 1920s. Decades have passed since the empire opened its borders to the rest of the world, and the imperial capital blooms with newfound prosperity. When the death of his father leaves him with no place to turn, Kumagata Arima finds sanctuary within the halls of the illustrious Otobe family, bound now as attendant to their frail daughter, Supika. Whisked away to a secluded villa, Arima spends his days tending to his lady’s fragile constitution, meeting new faces along the way. Yet this genial tardamente endures only while daylight reigns. When darkness descends, another music begins—the chilling refrain of life whittling away. Why was Arima chosen for this role? What invisible thread binds him to Supika’s side?
Kumagata Arima A young man working as Otobe Supika’s personal attendant, and protagonist of this story. Always calm and composed, and well trusted by his mistress, though he’s always clear to draw a line between when to indulge her and when to be strict, which often earns him her ire. After five years of master-servant life together, they’re comfortable enough with one another for the occasional banter. Diligent by nature, he works hard to ensure he’s always ready to serve his mistress’ needs.
Otobe Supika (c.v. Haruka Sora) The sole daughter of the Otobe family, and heroine of this story. Frail since birth, Supika is petite and delicate, partly due to her particularly poor appetite. Always lacking in stamina, she lives her days in a languid and self-indulgent manner—though being aware of her prestigious social standing, she’s careful to maintain the image of a refined young lady for public appearances. However, there may be more to this noble girl than meets the eye.
Inganock of the Raging Flame
Ingarock of the Raging Flame (Sekien no Inganock -What a Beautiful People-) was originally released in 2007 by developer Liar-soft, who have released titles including Sona-Nyl Of The Violet Shadows ~What Beautiful Memories~ and Alpha-Nighthawk.
Kagami Games confirmed that it will be released as an ultra 2K remaster and ported to a new game engine. A controller mode has been added and it’s specifically optimized for devices like the Steam Deck, with full support for Windows, macOS, and Linux.
Kagami Games works with Liar-soft to bring the ReBORN edition of Inganock of the Raging Flame to the west at full 2k HD resolution.
Inganock, the Monstrous City, was designed to be perfect—a fully self-sufficient “Arcology,” contained neatly within the many tiers of a single enormous structure. But ten years ago, the Renascence changed everything.
The city’s people mutated; its plants grew strange. Vicious creatures from the pages of old stories emerged into reality. Even the Engine technology that had brought its people such prosperity changed in unpredictable, deadly ways.
Today, like every day, the wandering doctor Guy walks its streets. Defying the murderous City Code, he trudges through the Lower Stratum, tending to the sick and wounded. He walks on, trying to discover what he lost ten years ago.
And finally, he meets them—a girl clad in black, named Kea. A girl still capable of smiling. Not only that, he finds a shadow. A figure from the one and only fairy tale still spoken of in Inganock. A steel shadow: humanoid in form, kaleidoscopic in nature. This shadow has a name: Madchine.
For the city of Inganock, it is a final glimmer of hope.
Guy (c.v. Furukawa Tetsuto)
A poker-faced doctor who scratches out a meager living by relentlessly wandering the Lower Stratum in search of patients, treating those in need regardless of their ability to pay. His single-minded obsession with saving lives has earned him a reputation as hopelessly eccentric (if not insane). His mastery of the power known as Cracking allows him to selectively rewrite the human body, curing most conventional diseases instantly; but he struggles with his inability to treat the mutative plagues running rampant throughout Inganock.
Kea (c.v. Kawashima Rino)
A mysterious, cheerful girl who plants herself firmly at Guy’s side and observes his every move with evident interest. Her bright pink eyes are capable of seeing things that others can’t. While her origins are unclear, she seems totally unfamiliar with the harsh world of the Lower Stratum.
Aty (c.v. Notsuki Mahiru)
An easy-going, impulsive young woman with a sharp tongue and chromesteel claws to match. Her huge, paw-like hands and the cat ears on her head mark her as a member of the mutant Pucelle tribe; she’s leveraged her inhuman strength and agility into a successful career as a mercenary of sorts.
Triple Pairing
Triple Pairing by developer Hooksoft is yet to be released and was only just announced in Japan. The developer is known for romance comedies, including IxShe Tell, Home Sweet Homecoming, and other titles, several of which were announced by NekoNyan recently. An uncensored release was confirmed on the livestream.
Kagami Games announces simulpub with Hooksoft for their brand-new title Triple Pairing. The game will be fully voiced, however, voice actors have not been revealed yet. More information will be revealed as the project continues it’s development.
What would you do if two polar-opposite girls confessed their love for you at the exact same time? Love isn’t a spectator sport. The thrill of romance comes from figuring out what kind of girl you want to be with and what kind of love you want to pursue.
In Triple Pairing, the love triangle mechanic will constantly force you to make a choice. You must decide, of your own free will, which one of the heroines you choose. The more thoughtful and deliberate that journey is, the deeper your love for the heroine you’ve chosen will be.
These six girls will do everything they can to win your affection. Watch them put their hearts on the line and see their genuine unguarded charm shine through.
Ootorimine Nasuka
A young lady who has enrolled in a new school this spring to experience the life of a commoner. With a personality brimming with curiosity, she has started living alone for the first time and is eager to challenge herself.
Hoshi Eimi
A childhood friend who is constantly putting on a cutesy act. This clever and cute girl is loved by everyone, but her guard drops around you. She cries and gets mad easily, but when you pamper her, she flashes the most wonderful, radiant smile.
Chijiwa Nono
The poster girl for a local diner. She’s used to looking after her siblings, so she often unleashes her “big sister” power outside her home. Faced with her caring demeanor, some can’t help but feel a primal urge to be babied by her…
Patrina
A maid from Northern Europe who serves the Ootorimine family. She has a calm and composed personality, always maintaining a professional distance as a servant and walking one step behind Nasuka. After taking care of chores for the domestically-challenged Nasuka, she returns to the Ootorimine mansion, from which she commutes to school.
Okita Waka
An incredibly lazy homeroom teacher. She’s a “disappointing beauty,” someone who is actually very capable but chooses not to try. Surprisingly, when students truly need her, she’ll go the extra mile. She’s rumored to be quite beautiful, but her complete lack of feminine charm in her daily behavior leaves everyone second-guessing.
Misumi Uruha
A friendly and sociable gyaru. As a central figure in her class, she has a bright personality and gets along with everyone. The consensus among the guys in her class is that she’d be fun to date, but exhausting at the same time. A bit of an airhead, her mind works in mysterious ways.
