Shiravune have announced the upcoming release date of Destiny Star Girlfriend, a Moe Game Award-winning romantic comedy visual novel by mirai. It will be released on Steam and Johren on the 19th of October, 2023. An 18+ patch will be available for the Steam version.

Entergram have reconfirmed that as previously reported Aquarium, the visual novel starring Minato Aqua from Hololive will be released in English on the 26th October, 2023. It was briefly set as releasing earlier on the Steam Store page, but this was confirmed to be a mistake.
Fellow Hololive streamers are included, with Honshou Marine playing a senior maid and Shirakami Fubuki playing the master’s sister. This version will include an extra story based on Twitter submissions. A Steam release has been announced as coming “later on”, but no store page has been released as of the time of writing. English will not be supported in the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation versions.

If you are looking for more video game-themed LEGO sets next to the releases of Super Mario and Sonic the Hedgehog, one more massive property is getting the same treatment. Nintendo announced this week that LEGO Animal Crossing is now in the works! No word on what these sets will look like or when they will be released, but we got our first look at some of the LEGO versions of popular characters such as Tom Nook, Isabelle, and Kapp’n.
After Nintendo closed the eShop for the 3DS and Wii U back in March, Nintendo has now announced that the online services for these two platforms will discontinue sometime in April 2024. The one exception is the Pokemon Bank service, as that will remain online, but Nintendo stated that it may also end at some point.
Genvid have announced the release date for the interactive Silent Hill series, Silent Hill: Ascension. For those unaware, this is an event that will allow you, along with many other people across the world take part in a story in the Silent Hill universe where you can change its outcome. Starting on October 31st (9pm ET / 6pm PT), a new scene will premiere each day for six months and will allow you to play a part in changing how the events unfold.

For those wanting more from the Gundam Seed universe, you’re in luck, as we’re getting a brand new movie next year! Titled Mobile Suit Gundam Seed FREEDOM, this new movie is a sequel to the events of Gundam Seed Destiny which was released way back in 2004. We got a brand new short trailer for the movie, which will premiere in Japan on January 26th 2024. No Western release for the film has been announced at this time.

The good times for One Piece fans this year keep on rolling, as we’ve got another huge announcement for the franchise! It was announced that for the 97th Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade, the series protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy will be joining as a brand new balloon. This isn’t the first time a popular anime character has gotten the same treatment, as Goku from Dragon Ball also got a balloon for the parade back in 2018.
