Visual Novel News:
Shiravune have announced the upcoming release of The Shell Part III: Paradiso (also known as Kara no Shoujo – The Last Episode/Kara no Shoujo – Part 3). The finale of the Kara no Shoujo series will release on Steam and other storefronts on a to be announced future date. If you’ve not yet read the first two titles, you can find out more about them here.
The year is Showa 33—or 1958, by the new calendar. It is an especially cold January, and amid the dour gray snow, a funeral is being held. A portrait of a girl’s face sits there draped in snow, looking almost embarrassed and a little lonely… The imprisoned painter Shinzo Mamiya died a scant few weeks after the Blessed Congregation’s crimes came to light. Detective Reiji Tokisaka has been recruited by his old friend Maris Stella to help sort through the man’s belongings, but instead they find an unknown work in his studio: a one-winged angel with no arms. The work, which they name Exile Of Paradise, is as beautiful as it is sinister—and it resembles his infamous masterpiece Girl In Shell. A few more days later, a woman’s corpse is found, modified in the manner depicted in Exile. She is identified as having formerly worked with Tomoyuki Masaki. There may be no one left who can cut the chain of obsession that began with Girl In Shell—nobody but one small girl.
Boki Boki Games have announced the upcoming release of Tsumamigui 3, an NTR title by Alicesoft. It will be released on Steam in 2025 as a multilanguage release with English and Chinese support.
PixelFade have launched Astral Ascension as an Early Access game on Steam. At this time, only chapter 1 of this sci-fi visual novel is currently available, with plans to add further chapters. It notes that it features full English voicing.
After being wrongfully terminated from the Investigations Agency of Polaris, our Protagonist struggles to find a piloting job that doesn’t have him blacklisted. With no options left, he joins the mercenary ship of Aetos to continue supporting his ill sister and to find a way to clear his name. Embarking on missions with the stoic captain Iris, the cheery engineer Vaela, the playful doctor Luna, and the suave navigator Kai, the team will travel across multiple star systems and meet all sorts of personalities! As the player, your choices not only affect mission outcomes, but also determine how relationships grow… and possibly blossom into romance!
Staffer Case, the murder mystery visual novel from Korean developer Team Tetrapod, is going to be released on Nintendo Switch along with the spin-off Staffer Reborn. It will include all current languages.
Information on the Nintendo Switch release or other potential platforms are limited at the moment, but we’ll continue to highlight any further news revealed.

Gaming News:
Project Mugen has been given an official title: Ananta! Ananta is an open-world RPG that’ll be free-to-play and takes influences from the likes of Genshin Impact, Spider-Man, and Grand Theft Auto. The name announcement also came with a brand-new trailer to give us more of a glimpse of the full game.
Ananta is coming to PlayStation 5, PC, iOS, and Android. No release window has been announced at this time.
The next DLC character for Street Fighter 6‘s second season got its official reveal last week! The second crossover character from Fatal Fury, Mai Shiranui received a short teaser trailer of how she’ll appear in-game. No direct gameplay or moveset details yet, but that will surly be released in due time.
Mai Shiranui is coming to Street Fighter 6 in early 2025.

The creators of Danganronpa and Zero Escape‘s latest game has finally been confirmed for a Western release! The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy is about 15 students being drafted to defend their school for 100 days through tactical RPG combat, all while strengthening the bonds with their classmates.
The Hundred Line – Last Defense Academy will be released for Nintendo Switch and PC on April 24th, 2025.

A sequel to CyberConnect2’s game based on Demon Slayer has been confirmed! No details for Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Hinokami Chronicles 2 have been announced at this time, but we do know this game will cover the events from seasons 2 to 4 of the anime and will be playable at this year’s Jump Festa.
On the topic of anime arena fighters, we got a big update on Bleach‘s next console game! Bleach: Rebirth of Souls got a story trailer that showcases events from the Soul Society arc, but it also revealed multiple editions of the game will be available, and last but not least, the full release date.
Bleach: Rebirth of Soul launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and PC on March 21st, 2025.

Anime News:
During a panel at CCXP in Brazil last week, we got our first proper look at the final arc in the anime adaptation of Demon Slayer! The first in the Demon Slayer Infinity Castle films received a short trailer and a new teaser image, along with revealing the release window for this first movie: 2025.

An all-new Gundam anime has been confirmed and has some big names attached to it! Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX is a new series being directed by Kazuya Tsurumaki, who was the director for the Rebuild of Evangelion films, with the anime being co-produced by studio Khara and Sunrise. We got our first look at the series with a full trailer, with the series being released sometime in the near future.

The final season of Fire Force received a new trailer! This third season based on Atsushi Ohkubo’s original manga will be split into two cours; the first releasing in April 2025 and the second releasing in January 2026. Along with the new trailer, we also received a new piece of key art for the new season.

Bethesda’s next big game is ready for release this week and it’s based on a famous film franchise! Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is a first-person action-adventure game where you take on the title character on a globe-trotting adventure set between the events of Raiders of the Lost Arc and Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle releases for Xbox Series X and PC on December 9th. A PlayStation 5 version is set to release sometime next year.
A remaster of a beloved game series from the late 90s and 2000s is launching this week! Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver 1 & 2 Remastered takes Crystal Dynamics’ original games in a shiny new package just in time for the franchise’s 25th anniversary and will also include a bunch of new features not in the original games.

A classic-inspired beat-’em-up based on a popular 90s series is arriving this week! Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind sees you take on the role of the Power Rangers to take on Rita Repulsa’s latest scheme involving time travel and will not only include regular side-scrolling action, but also 3D bike chases and even being able to fight monsters in the iconic Megazord.
Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind releases for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC on December 10th.
A sequel to Koei Tecmo’s RPG adaptation of a popular Shonen manga is ready for release! Fairy Tail 2 is an RPG based on Hiro Mashima’s original manga, with this sequel changing up the combat system and retelling the events from the final arc of the series.
Fairy Tail 2 launches for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Nintendo Switch on December 13th, with a PC version releasing on December 12th.
